Shondeh of the Week

An Open Letter  is here.
.
This week's award goes to Eric Cantor, the only Jewish Republican in the entire Congress. Ever wonder why? Ever wonder why momzers like the neocons are a tiny minority? Ever wonder why conservatism and Judaism are mutually exclusive, despite the claims of the neocon momzers - who are mostly beneficiaries of affirmative action for the wealthy? Ever wonder why the neocons' biggest cheerleaders are evangelicals, and not Jews?
.
Michelle Malkin and her neocon husband live in Colorado Springs, the evangelical Vatican. The Springs is where Ted Haggard - remember him? - and his New Life church harassed non-Christians so viciously that at least ten sold their homes, and moved away. They live among evangelicals, rather than Jews. Crazy, no?
.
Speaking of Michelle Malkin, she is one of those conservatives who wants to nullify the 14th Amendment. She constantly uses the pejorative "anchor babies." Irony alert: she was an anchor baby, as was Piyush Amrit Bobby Jindal, who also speaks derisively about babies born here to non-citizens. Michelle and Bobby were born here to non-citizen students. This gets better: according to conservatives, Bobby Jindal can never be president or vice president. Neocons like that (oy!) meshuggener/shandeh/momzer/dentist/real-estate agent/lawyer (whew!) Orly Taitz have "discovered" that a president, and president only, must be born to two citizen parents. That's a complete fabrication, but conservatives' stock-in-trade is fabrication, like the straight face claim that slavery was the result of liberalism. You can't make this stuff up.
.
Glenn Beck is the latest conservative to make this fatuous claim.
.
Here's the icing on the cake: Eric Cantor said, in a Wall Street Journal interview, he believes the American-Jewish community is overwhelmingly Democratic because Jews "are prone to want to help the underdog." That's exactly correct.
.
Cantor said it in a way that implies an intrinsic desire to help the underdog is naïve , and a waste of resources. That is the epitome of conservatism.
.
Note to Cantor and the rest of the nogoodnik neocons: the central tenet of Judaism is Tikkun Olam - תיקון עולם. It literally means 'world repair' - social action and the pursuit of social justice, and it is the antithesis of conservatism.
.
That's why Cantor is the only Jewish Republican in Congress. It may be a mystery to him, but not to progressives, both Jewish and non-Jewish.
